Updated: Jan 13, 2022

Have you ever fantasized about stepping into a painting? Experience a spectacular, one-of-a-kind tour of Vincent Van Gogh’s art in a secret London location. Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 11th at noon.

After already thrilling visitors in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, Fever's “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” lands in London in October 2021. Visitors are invited to let themselves be completely immersed in the life and masterpieces of one of the greatest artistic geniuses that ever lived.

This unique, multisensory exhibition challenges the conventional way of observing, appreciating, and understanding art. Instead of standing and admiring static, framed paintings from afar, visitors can now step inside eight of his famous post-impressionist artworks, feel the vibrant colours swirling around, and experience the wondrous world of the Dutch genius in every detail via projection-filled walls.

"Immersive experiences have the potential to be extremely helpful in understanding the whole artist instead of just seeing something isolated on the wall. It can really make it come alive,” said Nadine Granoff, director of research at Van Gogh Experts, in an interview for the New York Times.

The awe-inspiring journey also includes an impactful VR experience created through cutting-edge, 360° digital projections. The atmospheric light and sound show create a mind-bending art experience that turns every painting into an exciting, otherworldly way of living a total immersion into Van Gogh's world, diving deeper inside his dynamic, thick brushstrokes without the barrier of a frame.

Apart from the generous central area where eight of Van Gogh’s masterpieces stretch floor-to-ceiling, the interactive installation carries the viewer into various galleries where larger-than-life re-creations, informative panels, and engaging interactives creatively chronicle his violent-looking technique, his life story, and artistic influences.

📅 Exhibition Date: Until May 2022.

🕒 Duration: The visit takes around 1 hour.

⏰ Opening hours (time slots available every half hour):

- Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 10 am–8 pm.

- Saturdays, Sundays & holidays: 9 am – 9 pm.

PS: In anticipation of the event, we recommend reading about Van Gogh and Britain and visiting the Van Gogh Alive experience.
